Philosophy of life - Our family and our philosophy
Meet Our Family
Our hope is to occupy a small part of your heart…
Good morning! We are Laura, Marisa, Ada, Elisa and Emma, your hosts at La Bruciata, four generations of women together who look forward to welcoming you to our farm, as only a Tuscan family can do!!!
ADA,the sweet great-grandmother who still works in our large garden and takes care of our animals to get the best ingredients for our traditional Tuscan cuisine.
MARISA, GRANDMOTHERand extraordinary cook who loves to spoil us with her delicious dishes, cooking with simple, local ingredients that nature offers us each day.
LAURAthat’s me. I speak three languages and it is my pleasure to welcome and take care of you in any way I can. I will happily answer questions, or recount stories about our family tradition, make recommendations for restaurants, or suggest local routes not found in the guidebooks-- things only a family, born and raised here, can help you discover.
ELISA AND EMMAthe youngest members of our family, but firsts in sweetness and happiness who love to meet everyone, always intrigued by the cultures of people from different countries.
Together we strive to give you a wonderful holiday and an opportunity to enjoy a true experience of Tuscan life: exploring this area and many hidden corners that only the people which love and live here know; tasting the true flavor of agricultural products; touching our ingredients; enjoying our plants and flowers which create an intimate and peaceful atmosphere; hearing both the silence as well as our friendly local dialect; in short, experiencing the famous "Dolce Vita" with a family who has roots here for generations and who is always ready to give you help and assistance.
My great-grandfather bought this property in 1933 and the generations that have followed, have always maintained and taken care of this land and its products, and in 2001 we opened this farmhouse to share with all of you what we do best.
We started with little more than a desire to create an intimate and relaxing atmophere for our guests, and with a lot of hard work we have achieved that dream. Our satisfaction comes in knowing we have created a place where you can enjoy a memorable Tuscan experience, for this reason La Bruciata is special!
Our hospitality will make you feel at home, offering you our best advice about the local people, the Tuscan food and wine in an area already famous for its art and its nature.
We are happy to book activities in the surrounding countryside, like spending a day at an organic farm that produces the famous Pecorino, if you have interest in seeing how this wonderful cheese is produced, or cooking classes where you can learn the art of our homemade pasta called "pici" or where you can take painting lessons: There is a full page of activities you can choose from! Or if you really just love relaxing and enjoying your holiday, you can enjoy the farm, its scenic location and our products.
La Bruciata will be your home away from home as you experience your own La Dolce Vita!
