Staying on a farm affords people an opportunity to enjoy nature and its products. It's wonderful to see, touch, smell and taste the freshness of healthy organic fruits and vegetables.
At La Bruciata you can do that and more.
We select and harvest our fruits and vegetables daily and when we have too many we preserve them so that we can enjoy them even after the summer.

As you can see in the pictures, today we are preparing our vegetables with vinegar: a perfect accompaniment to our Tuscan recipe of boiled meats, "Bollito" We call this side dish: "verdure sott'aceto", it is a mix of garden vegetables: yellow and red peppers, onions, green beans, celery, carrots, cucumber and zucchini.
We have cut the vegetables into strips and placed them in jars, to which we have added vinegar, water and salt. We seal the jars and boil them for half an hour. We can eat them after a month and will keep in the pantry for one year. They are always ready to eat...just open the jar!

We are reminded every day of how bountiful nature is and it is satisfying to enjoy the fruits of our labor and to share it with you.
