Farmhouse in Montepulciano

Your holiday home in Montepulciano in the heart of Tuscany

Our tuscany farmhouse in Montepulciano

Your home base to explore the heart of Tuscany in Italy!

Our farmhouse La Bruciata is located 2 km from Montepulciano (known as "The Pearl of the 16th Century”) in the direction of Pienza.

It is situated in a strategic and central position to visit the heart of Tuscany and takes its name from the farm located on the edge of the “Poliziano” territory, which faces the gentle and spectacular hills of the Val d'Orcia. The Artistic Natural and Cultural Park of the Val d'Orcia is a World Heritage Site where the dominant element of the landscape is a clay soil which lies bare forming the famous "lunar landscape" (Crete Senesi).

Nearby there are many picturesque villages rich in beautiful and artistic history: Monticchiello (which can be reached by foot along a path through the woods), Pienza, Montefollonico, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico d’Orcia, Bagni San Filippo, Cortona. Also within an easy drive you can reach famous Italian cities such as Siena, Perugia, Arezzo, Firenze, Pisa, Orvieto, San Gimignano, Volterra, , and in less than two hours the magnificence of Roma.

A GREAT FAMILY TUSCANY

Our hospitality will make you feel at home, offering you our best advice about the local people, the Tuscan food and wine in an area already famous for its art and its nature. We are happy to book activities in the surrounding countryside, like spending a day at an organic farm that produces the famous Pecorino, if you have interest in seeing how this wonderful cheese is produced, or cooking classes where you can learn the art of our homemade pasta called "pici," or where you can take painting lessons: There is a full page of activities you can choose from! Or if you really just love relaxing and enjoying your holiday, you can enjoy the farm, its scenic location and our products.

Pool

Our love of the earth and this countryside prompted us to create for our guests, a green paradise with a large garden of native flowers and plants, a place where you can relax reading a good book in a hammock near the old oak, or sip a glass of our local sangiovese wines on the travertine terraces while enjoying the delightful view of the landscape in front of you, or simply unwind in the shade of a flower-covered gazebo with a view of the magnificent valley.

La Bruciata offers the opportunity to enjoy many experiences, the well-manicured garden is also home to a beautiful swimming pool, fully equipped with sun umbrellas, tables and loungers for peaceful sunbathing by the pool

Toscan kitchen

Rediscover the flavors of products cultivated and grown as nature intended!

The recipes of our kitchen are the foundation of Tuscan culture, knowledge and tradition, and have been passed down through the generations from mothers to daughters. In this way, our cuisine has been preserved and the secrets of healthy natural cooking by farmers linked to the land and its seasonal cycles have flourished for centuries.

Each event linked to the cultivation or harvest of agricultural products has always been a festive occasion with relatives and friends coming together to help one another. Threshing (corn harvest), husking (removing the husk of corn cobs), the grape harvest, the olive harvest, pig slaughter—these are all moments from my childhood that I recall with pleasure where at the end of a hard day’s work everyone would gather at the table to enjoy these products of the earth’s bounty, cooked by my grandmother and the other housewives.
