A unique opportunity to see a “vinsantaia”, the place where the precious Vinsanto di Montepulciano doc is aged in small oak barrels called “caratelli”, for at least 3 years, or for 5 years for a reserve Vinsanto and for the rare variety of Vinsanto called “Occhio di pernice” (made with Prugnolo gentile grapes ) aged 8 years. The tour comprises a visit of a vineyard and a vinsantaia together with a tasting.
